From the depths of the forest a wolf lept onto a large rock and shook her head. She then sat and was suddenlt changed back into human form. Jennifer then grabbed her jacket and pulled it on quickly before becoming to cold. Running at two in the morning was fun until she took her human form again...Then it was cold. She then walked over to her bag and grabbed a bottle of water. She drank the water and took in a deep breath. "Why can't things be like they are when you are wolf?" she said to herself remembering the times before she had become leader of the pack. Before she had even joined the pack.
There were no thoughts to be bothered with. No problems she would have to deal with. Yes, being apart of the pack was like having a family. But they were way to close when they could hear eachothers thoughts when in wolf form. There were just to many things that came with the feeling of having a family that would protect you.

The day had been long and stressful. So much had been going on the Kambles. Logan hoped in Jonathan knew what he was getting into with the human girl. Human. The word made him laugh. The way he always seamed to forget that he himself was a human once, thought it was over 100 years ago.
Shinook Forest was his place to distress, to take a break from the pressures of life. Teaching mechanics, watching after the Kambles, and the over all stress of life was something a bit too much. Cool air softly passes him from the light autumn breeze. He sat down against a pine and ran his hands through his messy hair.

If there was one thing Jennifer was thankful for it was her amazing hearing. She could hear someone not to far away but had she been human she would not have been able to hear him brush his hands through his hair. She crouched and looked in the direction of the sound. She waited for a few seconds absolutely silent, waiting for another noise. Nothing. She then took two slow steps into the trees looking all around her.
"Hello?" she called trying to find the person in the forest. Had he seen her change? She could not let anyone know about her or anyone of her kind what with the scare of the vampire hunter scare going on. What was the world coming to these days?
